"SERVICE TO MANKIND IS SERVICE TO GOD"
Ramakrishna Sewashram was started in 2002 as a dispensary by some enterprising citizens with a charitable concern for the society. Over the decades, it has evolved into a full blown 70-beds hospital with several active departments in medicine and surgery.
Spread on an area of 300000 sq. ft., the main hospital building covers a ground area of 30,000 sq. ft. The hospital is located on Vindhyachal Road on the outskirts of Mirzapur town. 70 beds are presently in use in general wards (Male and Female) and private wards including 1 Deluxe AC private ward room. It has a X-Ray machine and well equipped pathology laboratory. Various departments are equipped with modern surgical instruments e.g. a C-Arm (Orthopedics), Phaco Emulsifier (Opthalm.), Laparascopic Machine (General Surgery) etc.
In order to facilitate the availability of medical help closer and easier for  the residents of Mirzapur, a City Clinic has been opened at Katra Bazirao, one of the busiest areas of the town. It has a Digital X-Ray machine. Specialists of various streams run Out-patient service at the City Clinic. All surgeries are done at the main hospital at Ojhla.
Hospital's Objective
The main objective is to make decent medical service available at Mirzapur at low cost so that even the poor would not be denied treatment.
The hospital is to be run by a charitable trust on a non-profit basis.
Hospital at a glance
The aim is to provide not only medical treatment but also surgical treatments in various departments so that people are not compelled to move to higher centers of treatment in bigger cities, that entails heavy expenses.
Free Medical Camps
We have come to realize that poverty of the masses is the worst and most common ailment in society. It holds people from getting the badly needed medical treatment and sometimes surgeries even when provided at a fraction of prevalent cost.
